Volunteers Needed for Keene Market
The Keene Farmers Market is looking for volunteers to assist with social distancing protocols for this season.
During the current pandemic, significant changes are being made to the layout and management of the market, as well as the practices of vendors and customers, to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved in the market and of the community in general.
To make these changes and protocols successful, we are asking friends of the market, residents of Keene and neighboring towns to volunteer their time for a safe and orderly market this season.
Here’s what our volunteer team needs:
- Greeters: stationed at the Entrance to educate customers of our protocols, ensure they are wearing masks, offer hand sanitizer
- Parking Attendants: assist customers in parking in socially distant manner, guide customers to entrance and greeter’s table
- Flow Controllers: assist with customer flow both in and out of the market area. Ensure people are practicing social distancing and offer help where needed.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Be willing to wear a face covering, gloves and an orange vest*
- Orange vests and flags for parking assistants will be provided
- Maintain open communication with C-19 market leaders
- Read through the protocols of Keene’s Market COVID Adaptation prior to volunteering. Copies will also be available on market day at Greeter’s Table.
- Arrive on time and healthy.
- If you’re not feeling well, we need you to stay home and get better!
- Be respectful and courteous
Hours: 2 Shifts
8:30am - 11:30am AND 11:30am - 2:30pm

For every shift you volunteer, we’re offering you a $15 of Farmers Market Vouchers to be used at the market. You can redeem this voucher at any time during the 2020 Season from any vendor member and AFMC will reimburse them.
