Adirondack Farmers’ Market Cooperative is an Agricultural Cooperative sponsoring several farmers’ markets in the Adirondack region. We are a farmer/producer/crafter cooperative with an allowance of 30% from other NYS local producers to round out our product offerings.Our farmers and craftspeople are from small, family operated farms or small home-based artisans producing hand-crafted items.Visit our AFMC Member's Information page for information on how to be part of our organization.This cooperative was incorporated to provide a service to the community in three ways:
To provide an economical marketplace for growers to sell the products of their farms, for home processors to sell their baked goods and other products and for craftspeople to sell their handmade wares.
To offer the consumer a source of quality, locally produced farm products, home processed products and unique handcrafted items.
To provide an activity center in the market locations. Displays, distribution of literature, and other activities encourage the whole family to come and stroll through the market area. This in turn stimulates other activities for the merchants in the market area and benefits the whole community.
